Our client is enabling food, FMCG and manufacturing businesses to measure and address their carbon footprint.The role combines a collaborative start-up environment with the backing of a larger US business. The business operates independently and has further investment to continue its consistent year on year growth.
The client’s self-serve platform enables tracking of enterprises’ supply chains, product life cycles, scope 3 reporting, as well as their overall transition plan. A professional services team complement the platform with a range of related services.
The business has a strong, genuinely warm culture and flexi-working arrangements – they have low staff attrition rates, and a high score on glass door.
About the role
The role sits within Professional services, and plays a key role:
- Leading strategic engagements with client to help them deliver against
- Diving into client data to draw impactful and useful insights
- Understanding clients’ commercial and data environment
- Troubleshooting data issues (alone or with our tech team)
- Mentoring and guiding data analysts
- Collaborating and providing feedback to in-house data scientists & engineers to advance the platform
- Mentoring / managing a talent python engineer that looks after tooling
- Collaborating and often leading delivery teams on client data projects
About you
- Skilled with data analysis languages like R, Python or Sql (not necessarily all)
- 5++ years working in a consulting environment
- Experience with large datasets
- Inherent skill in understanding client problems and finding the key patterns and insights
- Ability to use a variety of query tools, methods and applications
Nice to have / bonus
The most important thing is having a high level of sophistication in leading technical data-analysis assignments. With the ability to pull out insights that can drive a business forward.
Secondly having a passion to be part of a climate mission is ideal too.
Other bonus skills would be:
- Familiarity with GHG, climate, carbon accounting related regulations
- An understanding of the food industry / supply chains etc
- Line management experience
