My client is looking for a Data Engineer to help build and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation to support business decisions in the clean energy space.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines: Work with large-scale datasets to ensure efficient data processing, transformation, and storage.
- Optimise data workflows: Use Apache Spark and Databricks to process and analyse energy-related data efficiently.
- Database management: Develop and optimise SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting and analytics.
- Data warehousing: Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support efficient data storage and retrieval for analytics and reporting.
- Cloud integration: Deploy and manage data infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Automation and CI/CD: Utilise Azure DevOps and DBT to automate data workflows, version control, and deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
You will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 1-5 years experience in a Data Engineering role or similar.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
- Experience working with Databricks and Apache Spark for big data processing.
- Familiarity with AWS and Azure for cloud-based data solutions.
- Knowledge of DBT for data transformation and modelling.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large-scale datasets.
