ROLE OVERVIEW
NEOM is building up an energy system that is based on 100% renewable energy generation provided mainly by PPAs and on supplies of green energy to industrial customers, SMEs and residential customers. In order to ramp up the system (generation and demand portfolio) in a balanced way, NEOM will manage the commodity portfolio in one central function, the Portfolio Management department where most of the relevant commodity and counterparty risks will be monitored.
In order to manage these risks appropriately in line with NEOM’s risk appetite NEOM Energy is looking for an "Associate" to perform day-to-day portfolio and counter-parties and produce relevant risk reports. Activities will be related to build up a dedicated risk management governance, to translate the governance in operational KPI and to optimize to the risk/return ratio of NEOM’s portfolio management based on NEOM’s minimum LCOE-approach in line with NEOM risk appetite.

The Business Analyst & Risk Reporting Associate SMP responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Key Accountabilities
- Design, develop and generate deal lifecycle reports for its peers and the management.
- Steer the commercial software landscape implementation, namely an ION Openlink Endur
- Support identification and analysis of types of commercial contracts and deals
- Collaborate with workstream leads and business stakeholders to identify and document requirements along the contract lifecycle
- Design, depict and describe detailed commercial processes along the lifecycle of all types of contracts/deals (i.e. conclusion, invoicing and payment, billing/settlement, risk management etc.)
- Analyze fit-gap of existing processes and update/adjust to new processes as needed
- Test and iterate process designs with relevant stakeholders to ensure all requirements are fulfilled
- Work with workstream leads and business stakeholders to analyze and validate the required teams, functions and skills to run the processes and platform
- Support implementation of a company-wide end-to-end deal lifecycle processes
- Support identification of systems (platform) to manage the designed deal lifecycle processes
- Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for process, performance, and user acceptance testing
- Ensure high-quality documentation and archiving of all requirements and processes
- Capture and report the evolving business requirements and related risks from system perspective
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The potential candidate must have a delivery track record, highly motivated and must be a leading expert responsible for the requirement analysis, process design of the commercial processes, including (but not limited to) following key requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM), with at least 3 years of experience in ION Openlink Endur (must have advanced knowledge).
- Experience in various areas of CTRM system: implementation, L2, L3 support, requirement collection and change management, etc.
- Experience with requirements analysis and management, ability to translate business needs into requirements
- Experience with (business) process design, modeling, tools and techniques, particularly gathered into Energy Utilities or Commodity Trading Functions.
- Excellent speaking, writing, communicating and presenting skills
- Advance level skills in MS Excel (including macros and VB skills), Database, MS Power BI, VBA or other programming skills is an advantage.
