***Clarification on SMP Contract: It is Supplementary Manpower service contract job in which prospective applicants are interviewed and salary determined by NEOM interview panel; and being employed under the payroll of SMP Contract (SMP Vendor). Successfully mobilized candidates would be under the visa sponsorship of SMP Vendor Company/Contract.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Design and review designs of complete Civil and civil infrastructure works.
Produce, review and amend scope of work documents specification and drawings to assure buildable and maintainable building in line with Code, design standards. Participate in the procurement of Material, Equipment and Accessories related to the designed systems.
REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY
The Associate – Design Architect SMP responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare complete scope of Civil works including detailed design narrative of the works, design drawings, as-builts, specifications and related quantities.
- Provide engineering support during construction performed by outside contractors including reviewing technical submittals and shop drawings, responding to contractor questions, and resolving field problems.
- Participate in the innovation and implementation of new technologies in the Civil Engineering field.
- Implement latest applicable design and engineering Codes & Standards for all Assets of NEOM.
- Inspect, discover and resolve any violations in Civil engineering design and construction works
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of proven experience in civil design.
- Ability to propose and prepare related design documents using latest technologies using innovative solutions
- Proven ability to work independently as a high motivated, self-directed individual with ability to analyze and solve civil engineering problems.
- Experience in large projects and with large engineering, construction or EPC companies.
- Knowledge of Internationally recognized engineering and technology standards, codes (including Saudi Arabia’s) and Latest trends in engineering and technology,
- Proficiency in English reading writing and spoken is a must.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Membership of a related professional association/s
