We currently have over 175 employees, operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow. As our business continues to grow from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting an environmental consultant to be based out of our Stockport office in south Manchester.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent understanding of carbon assessments, environmental permitting, due diligence, planning and environmental legislation and its application, with the goal of further developing these areas with the support of the company.
We are looking for you to have/be:
- Bachelors' or Master's degree qualified in either environmental science or a closely related subject
- Either be Chartered with membership of IEMA, CIWEM or similar or be actively working towards this;
- Be able to demonstrate prior project management experience with proven skills in the timely delivery of projects to clients;
- Have significant experience working with all aspects of environmental permitting and compliance;
- Possess a solid understanding of due diligence and environmental law in the UK and EU and the practical application of such legislation;
- Experienced in producing, reviewing and delivering high quality technical reports and environmental models for government agencies and private clients;
- Prior experience of interfacing effectively with clients, government agencies and on occasion the general public;
- Professional communication & interpersonal skills;
- Full right to work in the UK
- Able to work independently as required but also as part of a wider environmental team; and
- The ability to travel (infrequently) for project purposes in the UK and Ireland.
