Due to company expansion and forecasted growth, Melin Consultants are delighted to be looking for a Technical Consultant to join our dynamic Commercial Compliance department at our head office in Swansea.

We are a dynamic and experienced practice delivering sustainable building compliance services to the built environment. Since 2006, we’ve been providing tailored solutions to our clients, ensuring their projects meet regulatory requirements while maximising energy performance.
The Role
As a valued member of our commercial compliance team, you will play a key role in delivering expert guidance and technical support on energy assessments, compliance strategies and sustainability solutions for commercial projects. You’ll work closely with our clients, and have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, offering expert advice and supporting the growth of sustainable building practices.
Additionally the role will also provide opportunities to develop skills in daylight modelling, thermal comfort modelling, life cycle analysis, low and zero carbon feasibility studies.
Key Responsibilities include
§ Undertake modelling and energy performance analysis using IESVE software
§ Providing energy assessments and calculations to support planning applications and building control
§ Provide advice and guidance on Part L and Part O of Building Regulations and strategies for achieving compliance
§ Collaborate with clients and project teams to interpret building designs and identify opportunities for improving energy performance
§ Manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
Minimum Qualification Requirements
§ Level 3 & 4 SBEM
Desired Qualifications & Experience
While additional qualifications and experience are desirable, they are not essential, as full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.

§ Knowledge and experience of energy modelling software and tools
§ Familiarity with emerging energy and building technologies
§ A good understanding of building physics and thermal performance
§ An understanding of construction and building regulations
§ Relevant degree in Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
