MAINTENANCE SCHEDULER
The Role
As a Maintenance Scheduler at Vale Base Metals, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining an effective maintenance schedule for our refinery operations. Your primary goal will be to maximize equipment availability and minimize production downtime while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. This position is key to optimizing our refinery's resources and supporting our commitment to safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain a comprehensive refinery maintenance schedule aligned with production goals
- Liaise with the production manager to understand and prioritize maintenance needs
- Schedule maintenance tasks in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Allocate resources efficiently to ensure effective maintenance of refinery assets
- Monitor and adjust schedules based on equipment performance data and production changes
- Facilitate communication between maintenance teams and production staff
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance scheduling processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and CMMS software (SAP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management and resource allocation software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
