Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager at our Swansea site.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
As the
EHS Manager, you will take full ownership of
all aspects of environmental, health, and safety management on site. This is a highly independent role where you’ll be actively engaged in both
strategy and day-to-day operations, ensuring our Swansea facility not only meets but exceeds EHS standards. You will:
- Take a hands-on approach to implementing and overseeing the ThinkSAFE program, embedding a strong safety-first culture at all levels.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, working directly with local authorities on new permits and variations.
- Develop and deliver practical EHS programs, policies, and training—empowering employees to take responsibility for workplace safety and sustainability.
- Be a visible leader on the shop floor, working closely with production teams to drive engagement and cultural change.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis and proactively implement preventative measures.
- Maintain and continuously improve ISO14001 compliance and other regulatory requirements, ensuring high operational standards.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
Experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification), ideally with professional body membership (e.g., IOSH).
- 5-7 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in high-risk manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience in industrial manufacturing (3-5 years) is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in environmental compliance and process safety programs such as HAZOP/HAZID.
Skills & Mindset:
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day problem-solving.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and engage teams at all levels.
- In-depth understanding of ISO14001 standards and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Analytical mindset with a solutions-driven attitude towards risk mitigation and process optimization.

What We Offer:
- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Bonus: Up to 20% performance-based bonus
