Job Description:
In this position, you will work with our electrolyser team to advance our electrolyser stack design. This position will be laboratory focused, with opportunities for complementary efforts in 3D modelling software and additive manufacturing. You will learn about our current cell design(s) and work on tackling challenges in stack design, including fluid flow, changes in water chemistry, and balance-of-plant systems. You will also contribute to the overall team’s success through knowledge sharing, idea generation, brainstorming, collegiality, and support of other on-going projects in the company. There will be opportunities for this position to identify other projects or topics of interest within the company’s technology portfolio, and independence in the laboratory and in creative problem solving is expected and encouraged.
Skills required by this job:
· Advanced cell manufacturing and design experience
· Electrolyser/fuel cell experience
· Integration of cell designs into stack designs
· Integration of electrolysers into balance-of-plant systems
· Fluid dynamics expertise
· Catalyst, electrode, and electrochemistry knowledge

Educational Background Required:
· Ph.D. or Masters in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering
· Expertise in electrochemistry and electrochemical techniques
· Expertise in electrolyser/fuel cell design
· Expertise in electrode/catalyst engineering & configurations
· Demonstrated experiences working in a team environment and developing your human skillset (communication, empathy, respect, understanding, commitment, follow through, self-inquiry)
