Here at Xodus we play a key role in subsea engineering of the many new energies and technologies throughout the energy sector. We are looking for motivated and passionate people to be part of this journey playing a pivotal role in the execution of projects across the current spectrum of the energy transition, be that designing a pipeline that moves our clients from coal fired electricity to gas, design and life extension of existing hydrocarbon systems, subsea equipment engineering for wind developments, through to pipeline infrastructure for carbon capture and hydrogen transmission.
The role will sit within the Subsea and Marine team and you will be accountable for engineering deliverables to our projects within the structural engineering discipline. You will be expected to provide technical expertise into our ongoing projects, bids and proposals and you may also be asked to represent Xodus at client meetings as required.

Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- BEng / MEng Structural or Civils Engineering related Degree or equivalent
- Professional Chartered Status (or working towards attainment of this)
- A hands-on approach, with a can-do attitude and willingness to work with a team at all levels.
- Have an interest to actively develop and progress within an integrated team across disciplines.
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards) with demonstrable engineering expertise in the subsea industry and with a detailed understanding of subsea structural engineering deliverables through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design and also across Construction and Installation activities.
- Working knowledge of common structural design codes such as AISC, API, EC3 and ISO 19902. Covering both Limit State and Allowable Stress design approaches
- Good knowledge of design codes for operations in the subsea and marine environment (API, BS, DNV, NORSOK)
- Good knowledge of subsea piping layout within subsea structures and understanding of relevant piping design codes (ASME, DNV, PD 8010)
- Good knowledge of foundation design, piled and gravity based
- Understanding of hydrodynamics in the marine environment
- Knowledge of marine construction and installation operations (design for lift and transport)
- Knowledge of FS2000 and MathCad 15, or similar software
Desirable:
- Understanding of wave induced fatigue in structural members
- Understanding of jacket design
- Rigid riser and / or tie-in spool design experience
- Experience in the design of mechanical clamps in offshore environments
- Topside facilities design.
- Seafastening and installation design
- Knowledge of cathodic protection and coating specification
- Decommissioning of offshore structures
- Knowledge of or experience with non-linear analysis
- Onshore Civil Engineering experience
- Experience with STAAD Pro, SACS, ABAQUS, ANSYS, AutoDesk or similar software
- Knowledge of foundation design such as GBS, Piles and Suction Anchors
