Role Summary:
As Director, Construction you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the construction of large-scale logistics facilities at NEOM’s The Line Development.
This role requires a deep understanding of managing complex construction projects, as well as expertise in logistics operations. You will play a key role in ensuring a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee the work of project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
- Take proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Logistics Expertise:
- Collaborate closely with logistics teams to understand operational requirements and design facilities accordingly.
- Ensure that construction plans align with the long-term logistics strategy.
- Optimize facility layouts and workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure smooth material flow and equipment installation.
Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of construction professionals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, promoting growth and development.
- Recruit and retain top talent to ensure project success.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
- Monitor safety performance and take necessary measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Develop, manage, and track project budgets to ensure financial success.
- Monitor costs closely and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
- Ensure client satisfaction through timely project delivery and exceptional quality.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.
- Additional qualifications in Project Management and/or Supply Chain Management are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in construction management, project management, and site supervision, with a strong emphasis on large-scale infrastructure projects

Competencies:
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects in challenging environments.
- In-depth knowledge of construction site logistics principles and best practices.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Experience working in international environments, preferably within the Middle East.
- A solid understanding of NEOM's vision and the unique challenges and opportunities associated with this groundbreaking project.
