About the role
The role reports into the Energy & Risk Manager and in this position you will be responsible for data collection, analysis, developing all management information and reporting to support business decision making in relation to the purchase and management of energy, utilities and associated services.
As part of the Network Performance team you will be part of establishing Believ as the most loved Charge Point Operator through the management of its principal network cost (electricity) to achieve competitive consumer charging tariffs.
You will support the Energy & Risk Manager in the monitoring, forecasting, management and procurement of energy and utilities for a rapidly growing portfolio of electric vehicle charge point infrastructure.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and operate day-to-day data gathering, analysis and reporting activities to support utilities budgeting, procurement, monitoring and forecasting.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external utility industry parties to exchange information in support of a flexible energy purchasing strategy.
- Maintain, develop and improve data-sets, databases and data management processes.
- Participate in energy and utilities portfolio management activities to establish reliable record keeping for forecasting and cost governance.
- Develop and issue day-to-day reports to internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Hold and develop subject matter expertise in energy purchasing and utilities management in support of the Energy & Risk Manager.
- Support the Energy & Risk Manager in the development and execution of the electricity risk management and hedging strategy.
- Participate in activities to manage energy costs and develop attractive consumer tariffs.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
- Experience of UK energy industry (electricity in particular) in respect to generation, distribution, supply and demand.
- Highly proficient in the collation and analysis of complex energy data for forecasting, reporting and decision making.
- Ability to communicate conceptually detailed and complex information clearly to stakeholders with limited prior subject knowledge.
- Experience in the operation of flexible energy supply contracts, risk management strategies and energy trading is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Microsoft Office skills/experience (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Precise attention to detail
- Team player
- Ability to manage workloads and meet demanding timescales
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to evolving project priorities and demands
Technical Skills
- Data modelling and analysis
- Software systems / services – management and administration
- Experience of energy contracts and the energy supply industry
- Knowledge of energy markets
- Knowledge and experience of energy trading and risk analysis is desirable but not essential
- Full Driving License.
