Job title: Electronics Engineer
Salary: £40,000-£55,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week
Location: The role is primarily in-person at the workshop in Witney, Oxfordshire (you must be able to work legally in the UK)

We are an ambitious startup at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution, developing a pioneering battery-integrated EV charger with advanced power conversion technology. We aim to be the technology provider behind the next generation of EV charging solutions (a trillion dollar global market) that enable rapid vehicle turnaround from any location, no matter the power available.

About the Role
Your role will encompass a variety of development tasks, testing, and research. You will be directly contributing to the development of our technology and first products, from design through to testing and production.
As an early member of the team, you will be able to influence our operations, processes and culture. Flexibility is essential, we often need everyone in the team to pitch in across different areas of our growing business - whether that’s to assemble a desk or print a PCB, it’s all hands on deck.

Key Accountabilities
- Electronic System Design – Develop power electronics systems, PCB layouts, and perform simulations.
- Testing & Validation – Conduct hands-on testing and troubleshooting at all project stages.
- Technical Documentation – Draft and maintain design specifications and technical reports.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Work with mechanical, software, and other teams to integrate electronic components.
- Project Execution – Support project delivery from design through to testing and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize power electronics systems.
- Perform circuit simulations to validate designs before production.
- Develop PCB layouts and work on schematic capture.
- Conduct rigorous electronic testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in hands-on tasks beyond electronics, including prototyping and system testing.
- Keep up-to-date with new technology trends and industry advancements.

About You
- Education & Experience
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience in power electronics, PCB design, and testing.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle (Fusion), KiCAD).
- Strong understanding of circuit simulation and analysis.
- Experience drafting technical design specifications.
