Sustainability Manager
£58,000 - £66,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Remote, based in Manchester with occasional travel to our Manchester city centre office where required
We're looking for a Sustainability Manager to join our Property team here.
In this role, you'll provide subject matter expertise on sustainability across our property team and portfolio. We'll look to you to lead on the development and delivery of sustainability projects including overseeing your own project prioritisation and the preparation and delivery of plans. What you'll do
* Provide subject matter expertise on sustainability strategy, plans and operations across the business
* Provide advice on waste, circular economy and biodiversity
* Support the delivery of the Property climate mitigation and adaptation agenda
* Provide technical advice sustainability standards and specifications
* Support the annual refresh of the Property Sustainability Strategy
* Build positive relationships with internal partners, engaging with technical experts and translating information into clear and easy to understand language
* Lead working groups, and collaborate with colleagues and supply chains across multiple teams
This role would suit people who have
* Previous relevant sustainability experience, including proven success in delivering sustainability action
* Experience in biodiversity net gain, the waste hierarchy and circular economy principles
* Experience in change management with the ability to manage complex initiatives
* Excellent communications skills with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
* The ability to interpret data and generate insights
