As an Equans graduate you will have the exciting opportunity to experience the diverse and interesting world of one of the UK's biggest facilities management organisations.
Starting in September, you will join our induction with all the other graduates in your cohort to start building your network and understanding of the Business before your specific placement commences. During your scheme, you will experience operational and functional roles alongside our Finance teams. Your time on the graduate scheme will span across a 2-year period, and you will complete between two to four rotations of either 6 or 12 months in length depending on the project type and department. You will need to be fully mobile as the placements could be based anywhere within the UK and graduates might need to relocate depending on the placement locations.

Data, Digital & IT Graduate Scheme Overview
Our Digital, Data & IT teams deliver an incredibly wide range of solutions to improve energy performance, operating costs and user experience for our teams and clients all over the country. As a graduate you will gain experience of what it takes to work on projects with large, diverse teams in a fun and rewarding industry.
You will have a passion for putting the customer first, working in teams and constantly looking to improve and innovate. Over the course of your graduate scheme, you will gain an understanding of how we support our customers and how to deliver innovative, data driven solutions to our communities and clients.
As a graduate on our Digital, Data & IT pathway, you will rotate across different areas of the business in order to build your knowledge of the Business and develop your technical, people & project management skills. You will have the opportunity to gain experience, and put your technical credentials to the test, in various customer sectors, which may include:
- Smart Buildings
- Operations
- Central IT
- Digital Solutions
- Information Systems
- Digital Transformation Projects
You will spend some of your time on the scheme working on site with our operational contracts to support them with their digital and data needs such as analysing and reporting on business performance.
A placement within the Digital Solutions team will focus on Research & Development, Product Development and New Business. This could involve supporting the team with new product development and solutions, leveraging data and insight as a core driver, supporting market research and competitor analysis with the Research & Development team, working with our commercial team for the development of customer offers, driving value for our customers working with our data and insight team. Working with technical experts you will play an active role in the development of the products and solutions we deliver to existing and new customers.
Over the graduate scheme, we will provide a wide variety of training opportunities to develop your operational and technical knowledge, leadership and management skills, so that you can excel in your role. You will be able to continue developing your technical data skills such as through a data fellowship qualification as part of our Data Academy on scheme.
We're looking for people who are motivated to continue learning and are ready to take on new opportunities. You won't be alone during the scheme; you will be supported to drive your development through structured placement reviews and regular meetings with the Early Careers team. From day one you will have a buddy, usually a graduate in the year above, to share experiences with, and you will have a mentor throughout the scheme. You will also be able to join any of our employee-led networks, including our Young Professionals Network.

At the end of the scheme, you will have developed the skills and knowledge to go into a Junior Finance Business Partner position. Many of our graduates continue to make a big impact in our Business, including our current CEO for our Digital & Energy Services Division.

Essential:
- A degree in a Digital, Data, IT, Technology, Computer Science, STEM or other related subject, or, apprentice qualified in a relevant discipline, with work experience
- Flexibility to relocate to different parts of the UK depending on the placement locations
- A genuine interest in our industry, digital data and technology and a passion for delivering real change in the communities we serve
- Critical thinking skills and good attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and use initiative
- A flexible approach to work
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, motivate and inspire others at all levels

Desirable:
- Previous work experience, ideally within a relevant field
- Previous customer services experience
- A full UK driving licence

Individuals ideally should have completed their degree, master's degree or apprenticeship within the past 3 years or have between 2 to 5 years work experience.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a telephone interview in January 2025. Those successful at telephone interview will progress to the final stage and be invited to participate in one of our assessment centres taking place in February- April 2025.
