The Data Reporting & Analytics Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Global University Systems (GUS) by working closely with various GUS entities under the guidance of the Chief of Staff to the CEO.
This role demands a seasoned expert in data analytics and reporting, with a strong passion for enhancing existing systems and developing innovative solutions to drive transparency and accountability in the performance of GUS entities. Equally important is a demonstrated ability to efficiently collect, synthesize, and analyse data from diverse GUS entities to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Real-time Data Collection: Build and operationalise light-touch systems and processes to gather real-time quantitative & qualitative data from multiple GUS entities in an efficient manner.
- Transparency & Visualisation: Provide transparency in an easy-to-read visual style across multiple GUS entities by location/product/mode. Create and implement ‘flag’ reports using red/yellow/green/blue method (blue is to highlight truly outstanding performance).
- Performance Management: Use data & reporting to show how initiatives occurring in real-time are addressing (or not) red/yellow/green/blue reports, across different functions (marketing, business development, sales etc).
- Technical Knowledge: The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in creating user-friendly Excel and PowerBI dashboards, with the ability to distil complex data into clear, concise PowerPoint presentations tailored for executive audiences.
- Data Analytics: Analyse and interpret relevant data to provide actionable insights that GUS entities can leverage to drive improved business performance. For example, utilize advanced techniques like factor analysis and cohort analytics to identify the specific support students need, enabling tailored interventions that enhance their success throughout their educational journey.
- Structured Curiosity: Identify and evaluate relevant data to develop actionable recommendations that GUS entities can implement to enhance business outcomes. For instance, apply techniques such as factor analysis and cohort analytics to determine the specific types of support students require to maximize their success during their educational journey.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with multiple GUS entities, balancing sensitivity to their needs while driving progress. Proactively engage stakeholders with sound judgment and initiative.
- Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief of Staff to the CEO and other members of the Executive team, demonstrating professionalism, confidence, and humility in all interactions.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders in a structured manner to refine outputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Adaptability & Humility: Adapt working styles to maximize productivity across GUS entities and external partners. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to take on tasks of any scope.
- Multiple Workstreams: Oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, identifying and leveraging synergies between them to enhance efficiency and output quality.
- Deadline Management: Develop realistic timelines, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide early warnings of potential delays. Propose actionable solutions to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery of workstreams.

What we are looking for:
Education, Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in large, dynamic organizations, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex structures and processes.
- Career Ambition: Strong drive and potential for growth, with a demonstrated desire to advance and develop professionally within a forward-thinking organization.
- A Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
