About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the ARO group. As the Systems Engineer, you will work closely with our clients to ensure business & IT systems run smoothly. Manage and deliver an effective IT support service for all hardware & software within the client's organisation. You will be representing ARO and will maintain a high level of professionalism always when dealing with IT team members and client staff alike. You will be providing support over the phone, via email and attending sites where necessary.
What You'll Be Doing
- Desktop trouble shooting, configuration, maintenance and installation using standard images
- Maintain documentation and update knowledge base where appropriate to improve support operations
- Utilise, follow and manage the competency matrix to identify skills gaps
- Use your working knowledge of networking to assist when trouble shooting desktop issues
- Work with 3rd parties as required to ensure quality service to the client
- Understand the clients' escalations and when they should be invoked
Requirements
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Full UK Driving license and access to your own car to travel between client sites
- Previous experience working in a similar environment
- Basic understanding of networking technologies
- Able to provide second level support for all IT queries
- Work with staff at all levels both internally and externally
- Work with 3rd parties as required to ensure quality service to the client
- Understand the clients' escalations and when they should be invoked
- Excellent communication skills
- Must show ability in time management and prioritisation to achieve the requirements of the role
- Experience of product terminology
Desirable:
- Pass level or current working towards in the below;
- Managing modern desktops
- Microsoft identity and access administration
- Microsoft azure administrator
