Purpose of role: As the Asset Manager (CCUS & Hydrogen), your role is essential in developing and nurturing our business interests, strengthening customer relationships, and enhancing the revenue and capital value of our CCUS and hydrogen assets. Your responsibilities encompass commercial negotiations, leasing agreements, lease and contract management, focusing on opportunities in the sector. By effectively managing day-to-day operations, optimising asset performance, and ensuring compliance, you contribute to the growth and success of our CCUS and hydrogen portfolio.
Main Accountabilities:
- Develop and nurture business interests, establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive revenue and capital value growth within the CCUS and hydrogen sectors
- Lead commercial negotiations, negotiating agreements for leasing, licensing, and lease management, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage day-to-day customer relationships across CCUS & hydrogen projects, AFL process, and signed contracts, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction
- Oversee day-to-day asset performance, monitoring operational efficiency, maintenance activities, and performance metrics to ensure optimal asset functionality
- Undertake asset reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on asset performance, financial metrics, and compliance measures
- Drive revenue generation and capital value growth through effective asset management strategies and initiatives
- Monitor compliance and risk management for assets, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations
- Identify potential opportunities to optimise asset performance, efficiency, and sustainability, driving continuous improvement across the CCUS and hydrogen portfolio
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, procurement, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless operations and maximise asset value
- Support commercial due diligence activities and contribute to risk management and regulatory compliance efforts within the CCUS and hydrogen sectors
Knowledge, experience & skills:
- Strong understanding of asset management, customer engagement, commercial negotiations, and regulatory compliance within the CCUS and hydrogen sectors
- Knowledge of carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and natural gas storage technologies, leasing agreements, and industry standards
- Proficiency in contract negotiation, compliance, contract and risk management
- Strong analytical skills to assess asset performance and drive optimization strategies
- Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices and regulatory compliance
