As a Tech Officer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of our technology infrastructure, driving both strategic and operational initiatives. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our technology solutions align with business goals while leveraging your expertise and knowledge in data science, AI, and full-stack development to create scalable, user-focused products.
What does this role look like?
Technical Leadership:
- Define and execute the company’s technology strategy and roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Set technical direction for product development, ensuring alignment with commercial and sustainability objectives.
- Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable cloud-based infrastructure.
Product and Project Delivery:
- Lead the creation, development and scaling of an AI-driven SaaS platform, focusing on user-centric design and data-driven solutions.
- Implement and optimise features, integrating AI technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications, balancing front-end usability with robust back-end functionality.
Strategic Consulting:
- Provide guidance on emerging technologies and assess their potential to enhance product capabilities.
- Drive organisational resilience by identifying and addressing operational challenges during scaling.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical initiatives with overall business strategy.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver key projects, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Mentor mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and professional development.
Qualifications
- Software Development and Product Development skills
- Project Management experience
- IT Strategy and Architecture knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience in the Green Building Market is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years experience within a engineering leadership role
