Position Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Head of QHSE to join our team.
As the Head of QHSE, you will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our QHSE management systems. You will play a key role in leading and maintaining BRC certification, oversee quality control processes, and manage health & safety compliance
Based: Romac Logistics Ltd, Manchester or Derbyshire
Job type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of QHSE policies and procedures across all company operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant national and international QHSE regulations, industry standards, and internal protocols.
- Develop and deliver QHSE training programs to promote a culture of safety and quality across the workforce.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Manage incident investigations, ensuring appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions are taken.
- Collaborate with operational teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on QHSE performance.
- Oversee the management of environmental impact reduction programs, ensuring sustainability practices are adhered to.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers to maintain strong QHSE relationships and ensure best practices are met.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the QHSE team, driving engagement and performance excellence.
Key Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of QHSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive change and inspire others.
- Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
- An understanding of BRCGS
- A commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
