Job Summary
The Designer - Convention Center will be a highly skilled and creative professional responsible for contributing to the design and development of a world-class convention center within the NEOM The Line project. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, a passion for innovative design, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of design concepts and schemes for the convention center, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
- Prepare and present design proposals, sketches, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and detail design drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
- Conduct research and analysis on relevant industry trends, best practices, and innovative design solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure the integrated design and delivery of the project.
- Assist in the selection of materials, finishes, and equipment.
- Ensure the design complies with all relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Contribute to the development of design documentation and specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and construction meetings.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in architectural design and technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a focus on large-scale commercial or institutional projects (experience with convention centers is a strong plus).
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Passion for innovative design and a strong commitment to quality.
