Job Description: We are seeking a competent Datacenter Development Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and permits processing of datacenter projects to a ready-to-build status. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, interfacing with stakeholders, and ensuring that all project requirements are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand data center requirements and identify potential development opportunity sites.
- Navigate the planning act process with local authorities across the UK.
- Collaborate with land managers to close option and lease contracts.
- Conduct and analyze market research to assess project feasibility.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams for planning submissions.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cash flow, and timelines.
- Manage risks and resolve issues affecting project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Oversee all project lifecycle stages, from site finding to ready-to-build status.
- Attend public consultation events.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are acquired.
- Negotiate contracts with planning consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing project updates and reports.
- Ensure project alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure project standards are met.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to share with clients and staff.
- Travel around the UK as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Datacenter/Real Estate Development Project Manager or similar role.
- Experience in the real estate development or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with a team and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
