Job Description
We are seeking professionals with expertise in Heat Networks (HN) and Distributed Energy (DE) projects or programs. DE encompasses distributed, flexible, low-to-zero carbon energy systems such as heat networks, solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage, demand-side flexibility, smart grids, and vehicle-to-grid charging for electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project development, including scoping, business case preparation, financial modeling, and high-level technical input for HN and local energy networks.
- Supporting projects integrating solutions such as battery storage, smart grids, and home EV charging/car battery systems.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven consultancy experience in DE and HN projects.
- Successful track record in delivering DE schemes, achieving project/program KPIs, and overcoming barriers at stages such as feasibility, commercialization, procurement, and delivery.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DE technologies and solutions.
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with metering and billing regulations, as well as government policies related to HN.
- Programme management and organizational expertise.
- Understanding of energy demands in buildings and relevant design codes (e.g., CP1, Building Regulations Part L).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in business development and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in developing energy strategies and master planning for DE.
- Ability to analyze DE data effectively.
