We're looking for a Government Soft Landings Manager (Facilities Project Manager) to join our team.

You'll be part of our Asset Information Management team, responsible for developing and assuring the requirements of our supply chain partners through a vast range of capital projects and operational FM related change.
Your team will be focused on ensuring a golden thread of information which helps DWP better understand our estate and make better decisions.
The DWP Estates team manages accommodation for colleagues who support millions of daily customer interactions in Jobcentres and Health Assessment centres, centres of expertise, back office roles, and contact centres.
We manage a private sector supply chain that delivers essential estates, security and facilities services without which we cannot safely open our offices and serve our customers.
We make sure this huge and complex network operates effectively, and our team is committed to making DWP's estate smaller, more adaptable, greener and better.
Job Description
- You will have oversight of the Government Soft Lands approach, assisting in the seamless transition from capital projects to operational phase asset management.
- Deliver and improve a 'golden thread' of information on DWP's built assets that is accurate, complete, consistent, and accessible.
- Undertake the activities/responsibilities of the Owner and/or GSL Champion in accordance with BS8536-1, and ensuring other roles and activity/responsibility owners are identified and contribute the intended way to the project (undertaking upskilling where necessary)
- Assist in the transparency of value-for-money project proposals from inception to completion within the business case process
- Assist in the engagement of key operational phase stakeholders to drive design innovation which benefits the whole life of an asset.
- Liaising with key stakeholders, delivery partners and main contractors in highlighting to Asset Management hierarchy that key Soft Landings project milestones are on track, all relevant policies are considered (such as sustainability), and all soft landing reporting is assured and submitted on time; in line with the Government Soft Landings/BSRIA soft-landing principals.
- Responsible for soft landings process and associated documentation.
- Assisting in the delivery of validated and assured data to others for decision making.
- Delivery of project outcome reports related to Asset Management. This should be encompassed by a holistic approach to Post Occupancy Evaluations on changes within the DWP Estate alongside other stakeholders and responsible parties.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive experience of working in the construction industry in the field of Design, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Asset management.
- Expert understanding and knowledge of information management, and the information lifecycle in the construction or property industry, with extensive practical experience of applying this.
- Experience delivering projects to Government Soft Landings/BSRIA soft-landing principals on a range of different project types and scale, or project manager with relevant experience of extensive programmes of change in the construction sector, with a focus on Mechanical and Electrical equipment being preferable.
- Understanding of information management in construction, information demand factors, RASCI matrix, terms of reference and governance processes, and familiar with the implementation of the UK BIM Framework.
- Familiar with Post Occupancy Surveys with a focus on asset management.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay from £42,614 to £45,081.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £13,000.
