Tasks/Aufgaben
TÜV SÜD is an international provider of advisory, and testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services. We deliver to customers from a range of industries including Renewable & Sustainable Energy, Oil & Gas, Water, Manufacturing, and Government. The modes of service delivery range from physical testing at one of our three UK testing labs, to on-site audits and inspections at customer sites, to desk-based services. Sustainability and decarbonisation are core growth engines for the TÜV SÜD group, plus we are committed as an organisation with acting more sustainably ourselves, as evidenced by our various commitments and awards.
Our Green Energy and Sustainability (GES) business delivers advisory and TIC services through four business lines: hydrogen, sustainability, renewables and carbon capture and storage (CCUS). In the hydrogen area, we see continued growth in demand for our services and are currently looking for a new Hydrogen Consultant to join the team.
The projects in this area are diverse in terms of scope and size and cover all aspects of the hydrogen sector from electrolysers/fuel cells, process safety and pressure equipment, components for entire pipelines and projects, to general advisory work on the hydrogen sector. Much of the work is desk-based consultancy, but the role will involve some travel to our test facilities in Scotland, customer sites and to events and trade shows. You ll enjoy analysing data and complex scenarios to develop solutions for customers and excel at communicating these in both presentation and written report formats.
We are looking for someone with existing knowledge and experience of working in the hydrogen sector, with electrolyser and fuel cell knowledge being a particular advantage. Experience of performing advisory and consultancy projects will be a distinct advantage.
Due to an exciting new growth opportunity in the Aberdeen area, we are looking for someone within reasonable proximity of this location but highlight that the role itself is primarily home based, noting that the Green Energy and Sustainability team is spread across the UK, and so we embrace online collaborative ways of working. The candidate must have the ability to work and drive in the UK.
