Job Title: Payroll Team Manager

Salary: £47,000 – £50,000
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify and manage the team performance measures, ensuring all Payrolls are delivered accurately and on time. To include the use of data analytics to prove the overall quality of the service
- Promote a lead a Continuous improvement culture, ensuring the team are ready to accept new improvement
- Effective Line Management of Payroll Advisors/Administrators, working closely with to develop, train and motivate
- Monitor the accuracy & quality at all stages of the payroll processing cycle, ensuring statutory & company policy compliance
- Responsible for providing and maintaining regular data on the team to measure team productivity and individuals’ performance
- Provide SME expertise into complex query management processes in line with SLA’s
- Support in compliance reviews across payroll processes to ensure quality standards and best practice exist and are embedded across the team
Essential
Your skills and experiences:
- Extensive Operational Payroll Experience ideally in a Shared Service environment
- Experienced People Manager/Excellent Management Skills ideally within a large team
- In depth payroll legislation knowledge, including appreciation for future changes and impact on payroll function. Resource Link system knowledge or similar
- Experience with working in an ever changing, complex payroll environment
Desirable
- CIPP qualified advantageous

The Payroll Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the large UK Payroll Team based at Preston. As Payroll Team Manager you will look after all sectors within BAE. This is a broad role with lots of variety. You will have an opportunity to influence change in a complex payroll environment with lots of challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on existing skill sets and to work across a variety of key stakeholders at all levels within BAE.
