- Position: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at HomeServe Finance, a pioneering startup of HomeServe, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a new venture within a well-established international group, where you can bring cutting-edge financial solutions to the market and contribute to our rapid growth.
Our cloud-native stack includes AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Python technologies. We do not use Kubernetes or other container orchestrators.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an AWS Administrator, Developer, or Solutions Architect and a strong understanding of core AWS services, uses, and architecture best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science or a related field
- Experience with languages such as Python, Bash, or similar
- Knowledge of data encryption and general security practices

Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS using Terraform
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the infrastructure follows compliance and security standards applicable to the finance industry
- Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD): Drive the implementation of CI/CD processes and tools to automate the build, test, and deployment of applications and infrastructure changes
- Infrastructure monitoring and optimisation: Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and cost optimisation opportunities
- Machine learning infrastructure: Collaborate with data team to design and automate machine learning infrastructure pipelines. Implement scalable and automated workflows for model training, deployment, and inference
- System Optimisation: Monitor, analyse, and optimise system performance for an enhanced customer experience
- Automation and Scripting: Implement automation solutions for cloud-based platforms, reducing the need for manual operations and promoting continuous integration and continuous deployment practices
- Disaster Recovery and Backup: Develop and maintain strategies to ensure robust business continuity
- Technical Guidance and Training: Provide expertise and technical guidance to other team members, contributing to their growth and overall performance
