Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Design & Equipment Purchasing Specialist to design and plan residential renewable energy installations. You’ll be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs, sourcing and purchasing high-quality equipment, and ensuring that every project meets our rigorous standards for safety and performance. You’ll work both remotely and on-site, collaborating closely with our project management team and subcontractors to deliver seamless, professional installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop precise electrical designs and installation plans for EV charger, solar panel, and battery storage projects.
- Source and purchase top-quality equipment while ensuring compliance with UK standards and regulations.
- Conduct remote / on-site surveys using photos and virtual consultations to gather necessary site data.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions that meet their specific requirements.
- Ensure all designs meet current electrical codes, MCS standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical design and installation, ideally in the renewable energy or home improvement sectors.
- Strong understanding of EV charging systems, solar PV, and battery storage technology.
- Proficiency in OpenSolar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
