Bellwethers seeks a Senior Analyst to kick-start our insights and intelligence operation, informing the development of keystone strategies and programmes with incisive evidence backing.

Bellwethers was founded in February 2024 and is a fiscally sponsored project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. We have initially benefited from the support of great contractors and are ready now to build a more permanent team to serve our mission and purpose.
Role Outline
The Senior Analyst is a central pillar owning the knowledge and insights platform, serving an international team, all working remotely. The role includes leading on primary research, as well as insights developed by accessing and analysing market data to track and identify trends, producing insightful analyses that help shape Bellwethers strategic interventions backed by market-based evidence of the highest standards. This role touches on all aspects of our core and programmatic work.
As a founding team member, the successful candidate will influence the role of insights and intelligence in shaping the strategy and culture of the organisation.
Location and Work Authorisation
Team members work remotely and therefore candidates who apply for this role
should be independently set up with a suitable environment for working. There will be a requirement for travel from time to time and the successful candidates will be asked to show an up to date travel document.

Skills and qualifications
- Experience in developing and managing quantitative and qualitative research
- Experience in the fields of marketing, communications, reputation management, mainstream and digital media, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- High competency in data analytics, visualization, and management with an ability to aggregate and extrapolate information from various data sources
- An understanding of AI tools and at least some experience in leveraging AI technologies at a project level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information in a comprehensible manner.
- Fluent in English as a professional language. Fluency in other languages is an advantage.
- Innately curious and passionate about climate action.
- An ability to explore and understand the commercial and economic implications of sector based actions and narratives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of formal and informal teams; action/results-oriented, consistently gets things done in a timely and professional manner with honed attention to detail
- Extensive proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Powerpoint and Excel.
- Ability to take ownership over a variety of projects in parallel, responding to asks across shifting priorities, and keeping initiatives moving forward to meet deadlines

- Experience of working in the climate change, biodiversity, good systems or social justice ecosystem is an advantage. Passion for the topics is a must.
Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst is a lynchpin role, for which the key responsibilities are in the following areas:
- Conduct in-depth research across critical sectors, and in critical regions or countries related to the norms and narratives of the economic transition.
- Engage in primary research to explore new areas for exploration.
- Develop research methodologies to collect and analyse data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Convert complex data and research findings into compelling, actionable frameworks and insights for a range of audiences, including investors, policy makers, and industry leaders.
- Engage with and present to stakeholders, offering thought leadership and reinforcing and expanding Bellwether’s position within our ecosystem.
- Stay on top of the latest trends and advancements in policy, economics, natural capital, energy transition and other related topics, integrating insights into our research framework.
- Support and drive Bellwethers impact reporting functions, including developing quarterly reports, supporting the drafting of Annual Plans, programme plans and Impact Reports.
- Support the development of an expanded impact reporting framework for high-priority focus areas
Salary
As a sponsored project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Bellwethers is able to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including health coverage, retirement benefits, paid sick leave, vacation and holidays. The salary range is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and will be competitive for the location of the successful candidate.
