About the role:
In this role, the ideal candidate will blend their exceptional customer service skills with analytical capabilities to address customer inquiries, solve issues, and provide actionable insights that enhance the overall customer experience. This position requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, a passion for data, and a commitment to delivering world-class customer support at growing green-energy scale-up.
The role also includes opportunities to learn the required Engineering skills to automate their own work and is therefore ideal for someone who wishes to develop their career along the Data Engineering/Data Science pathway.
Key responsibilities:
Customer Support:
- Provide prompt, professional, and empathetic support to customers via email, chat, phone, and other channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently, ensuring high satisfaction rates.
Data Analysis:
- Collaborate with teams to turn insights into actionable strategies that improve customer experience.
- Create visuals/reports that help other staff to solve customer problems.
Process Improvement:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise support processes and workflows.
- Suggest and implement tools or solutions to improve support efficiency and scalability.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base to empower other customer support specialists with self-service solutions.
Customer Advocacy:
- Act as the voice of the customer by sharing feedback and insights with product and development teams.
- Advocate for customer needs to drive product enhancements and updates.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM-related field (Computing & Data preferred)
- Evidence of ability to learn programming/query languages such as Python and SQL.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an empathetic and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and explain solutions to non-technical customers.
- Attention to detail and a knack for identifying patterns and trends in data.
Desirable skills:
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (Python preferred) to streamline workflows.
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Plotly).
- Familiarity with data querying languages or tools such as Amazon Athena.
Package:
Salary: 27,000 – 35,000 GBP annually
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
