Fuse Energy is growing and looking for a qualified commercial solar engineer to join the technical team as we continue to expand and acquire new solar projects. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with previous experience with Solar PV and able to travel across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the installation of commercial rooftop solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine optimal system design and installation plans
- Install solar panels, inverters, and other related equipment, ensuring all components are correctly and safely mounted and connected
- Perform electrical work related to solar PV installations, including wiring, grounding, and interconnection to the grid
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation to ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of installations, including site reports and system documentation
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring safe working practices at all times
Requirements
- City and Guilds 2382 (18th edition) qualification is essential
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification required
- 2394/2395 Test and Inspect certification is required
- Experience working with an MSC certified installer is essential
- Proven experience in the installation of commercial rooftop solar PV systems
- Strong understanding of solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Comfortable working at heights and experienced with Mobile Elevated Working Platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
