The role:
We’re looking for an ambitious individual who is looking to be part of something monumental. As a Wind Turbine Technician, you won’t be just another number on a spreadsheet – you’ll be the forefront of innovation, making a tangible impact on the future of our planet.

You will be responsible for:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime
- Inspect turbine components, including blades, nacelles, and towers, for any signs of damage or wear
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with a team of technicians to complete scheduled maintenance tasks and respond to unscheduled repairs
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new wind turbines
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with complex machinery
- Minimum of 3 years experience on wind turbines in a technician capacity
- Experience with Nordex Turbines is essential
- Experience in building or repairing mechanical or electrical systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and ability to read electrical schematics
- Proficiency in using software programs such as Revit and SolidWorks for design and analysis purposes
- Familiarity with carbonise systems and logic controllers used in wind turbine operations
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify equipment failures and implement effective solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience of being an Authorised Technician under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
It would be desirable to have:
- Full GWO, Working at Heights Medical.
- Experience on Siemens and Vestas Turbines
- Experience of being an Authorised Engineer under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
