What you will do:
- Promote and facilitate a DevOps mindset within the Ohme engineering team
- Support the adoption of IaC and orchestration across all Cloud and SaaS services
- Support the DevOps requirements of our application and data teams
- Support in the adoption of AI tooling across our platform
- Contribute to our tactical and strategic architecture, techniques and solution
- Collaborate with POs, data and software engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver value
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements and communicate those with your team
- Support in improving our ways of working based on continuous and incremental improvements
What skills and experience you should have to fit this role:
Required:
- Deep knowledge of AWS, with a focus on, but not limited to API Gateway, Route53, CloudFront, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Organisations, Control Tower and IAM Identity Centre
- Experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tool such as CDK and Terraform
- Experience in orchestration using tools such as AWS CodeBuild/Deploy/Pipeline, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI, and GitHub Actions
- Experience securing cloud-based infrastructure, both from a networking and software perspective
- Experience introducing observability best practices and implementing monitoring, tracing and alerting systems, using tools such as Datadog, Sentry, Dynatrace, or Grafana
- Coaching and evangelising DevOps ways of working and technologies
- Prior experience in addressing business and technical stakeholder requirements and translating these to the appropriate solution architecture
- Able to work with AI code generation tooling in a responsible way, ensuring that our standards are maintained
Desirable:
- Experience adopting the AWS Well-Architected framework
- Relevant AWS Associate or Professional certifications
- Experience building reusable automation components, e.g. CDK Constructs or Terraform Modules
- Experience with cost optimisation on cloud infrastructure and SaaS services
- Experience introducing incident management processes and tooling
- Experience working for a product centric organisation
- Familiar with Agile principles and best practices such as peer code review, pair programming etc
