What will you do:
You will contribute to and maintain an integrated automation framework tailored specifically for our use case. This involves liaising with QA engineers and software developers to pinpoint the most suitable cases for automation. You will continuously develop an automated regression pack to ensure comprehensive coverage and efficiency in Ohme's testing activities. This will also encompass contributing to the ongoing improvement of the QA team and the implementation of best practices in QA engineering. Also being involved in identifying and investigating any bugs, ensuring they are raised promptly in Ohme’s project management software.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- ISTQB/ISEB foundation certificate or higher.
- Experience with web and backend test automation frameworks e.g. WebDriver.io, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, SOAP UI or similar.
- Experience with or willingness to learn TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with using source control software such as GIT.
- Have experience working with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins. TeamCity, CircleCI, etc
- Some manual testing experience across one or more technologies e.g. Web, Mobile, Backend, Hardware, Firmware.
- Knowledge of bug tracking and project management tools such as Bugzilla, Jira.
- Knowledge of test case management software such as TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, qTest etc
Desirable skills and experience:
- Degree in a STEM subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics etc
- Understanding of agile testing paradigms such as BDD.
- Experience with mobile test automation frameworks e.g. Appium, Espresso, Roboelectric or similar.
- Experience with cross-browser and multi-device platforms such as BrowserStack or SauceLabs.
- Experience working for a product centric organisation.
