We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Electrician to join our fast-growing field-based team, supporting the installation of Midea, Air Source Heat Pumps and EV chargers. Based ideally between Bristol and Swindon, you’ll also ideally be comfortable with travel and overnight stays across the country as required.
As an Electrician at Good Energy, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the successful installation, certification, and compliance of electrical work. You’ll collaborate with our installation teams, including Heating Engineers, to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely installations of heating systems, providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Installations: Install, certify, and ensure compliance for electrical installations related to Air Source Heat Pumps and EV chargers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Heating Engineers to guarantee safe, efficient, and on-time installations of heating systems.
- Regulations: Ensure all electrical installations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, including the Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Time Management: Complete and submit electrical certificates accurately and promptly after installation.
- Quality & Safety: Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship on every project.
- Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technologies, actively improving your technical knowledge.
- Team Work: Build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to foster a positive work environment.
- Improvements: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for greater safety, efficiency, and quality.

What you'll need to succeed

While you may not have direct experience with heat pump or EV charger installations, as a qualified electrician, you’re excited to join a team that’s making a difference in the industry. You’ll be a valuable part of a team that’s committed to innovation and excellence.
This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, with work scheduled in advance. If you finish a job early on a Friday, you’ll have the opportunity to leave for the day. A company vehicle will be provided for travel to installations, along with a fuel card for business use. There may be occasions where you’ll need to stay away for sites further afield or during cover periods.

Essentials
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- 2365 C&G Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation
- 2365 C&G Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation or 2357 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
Desirables
- 2391 Inspection and Testing Course (Initial) or equivalent
- 2392 Inspection and Testing Course (Periodic) or equivalent
- 2382 C&G 18th Edition Course or equivalent
- Installation of Air Source Heat Pumps
