Hexxcell is looking for a talented Applications Engineer to join our Consulting team. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between engineering, data science, and software applications, working hands-on with clients to implement advanced digital solutions in the process industries.

We developed the first Hybrid Digital Twin for industrial thermal systems incorporating physics-based models with Artificial Intelligence which our Blue Chip customers are currently using to assess, predict and improve energy efficiency and sustainability of their production plants. This long-lasting positive impact in our customer’s operations enables them to boosted production, saved millions of USD and cut MMTons of CO2 emissions.

Responsibilities
- Analyze industrial plant data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Support deployment of digital solutions for process monitoring, predictive maintenance, and optimization.
- Collaborate with clients to implement Hexxcell’s Hybrid-AI Digital Twin technology.
- Create reports, technical documents, and presentations.
- Work with our software development team to improve user experience and functionality.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Systems Engineering (MEng or MSc)
- Basic programming experience (Python, R, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills & ability to work independently
- Knowledge of heat exchangers, heat transfer, or distillation systems
- Excellent communication skills (client-facing experience is a plus!)
- Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings (as required)
Desired
- Experience with industrial process data analysis
- Experience with engineering software (Aspen, MATLAB, etc.)
- Familiarity with machine learning or AI-driven analytics
- Background in process simulation or industrial optimization
