This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to scale the Consumer proposition. You’ll be responsible for selecting our range of EVs and setting and implementing our pricing strategy to turbo charge the growth trajectory we are on.
You’ll need to be highly numerate, analytical and bring bucket loads of commercial acumen to help us make it affordable and easy for customers to switch to driving electric whilst also growing Gross Margin.
You’ll get the opportunity to work with all parts of the business, bring new and innovative ways to how we can grow, and be able to see the impact of the decisions you make
What You'll Do...
- Define range architecture in line with Category strategy and select cars to range to meet growth objectives
- Provide Procurement promotional volume opportunities and requirements to unlock that volume e.g. cost prices
- Develop our range of Attach Services and ProductsReview, update and maintain Consumer Price Books across New & Used on weekly basis taking into account input changes, volumes sales performance, stock levels, and other factors.
- Track market pricing and ensure OEV price basket remains within set tolerances and maximises margin.
- Identify opportunities for sales volume growth from pricing and take action to achieve that.
- Support Procurement to secure investment to maximise volumes at Brand or individual car level
- Develop ‘Attach Products & Services’ and ‘Out of Bundle’ pricing and margin rules and implement
- Work across the business to support development of Price Optimisation tools and processes
- Build forecast for overall category and at car model level with Supply team
- Work with Supply team to take action to accelerate sell through where and when required
- Deliver milestone sales through development of weekly sales activity plan
- Grow Gross Margin through working with Procurement to maximise discount and value
What You'll Need...
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. You’ll need to be comfortable digging into data to find out what’s going on, spot trends and opportunities and understand the levers you have to pull to improve performance.
- A bit of a whizz at Excel/Google sheets and data warehouses. We use databricks/SQL a lot - but we can help teach you if you don’t use it yet.
- Experience in a commercial environment and role where your contributions to growing sales volumes and profitability can be applied to what we do here
- Great communication skills with the ability to craft and present digestible content to stakeholders from data
- Thrive in a fast paced retail like environment
- A friendly, open minded and collaborative person who enjoys the challenge of new projects and ideas, and is comfortable with changing direction and priorities
