Virtus Energy, a member of the RSK Group, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Electrical Team Leader to oversee and support our team of electricians working on AC & DC EV charger installations and commercial solar PV projects. This role is
home-based with travel required within a specific postcode area to manage and support on-site installations.
Virtus Energy is a nationwide, market-leading end-to-end EV (Electric Vehicle) Charging Installer, also specialising in sustainability consultancy and commercial solar PV projects.
Our technology-neutral approach, combined with distribution rights for the best EV charging and solar PV products on the market, ensures we deliver industry-leading solutions to customers across the UK. We specialise in AC & DC EV charging installations for domestic, commercial, and workplace environments, as well as commercial solar PV solutions. As a key player in the renewable energy sector, we are committed to supporting the UKs transition to net zero emissions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising installations, ensuring quality and compliance, and providing technical leadership to our electrical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians installing AC & DC EV chargers and commercial solar PV systems
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of EV charging units and solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations
- Conduct quality assurance checks on all installations to maintain high standards
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to electricians
- Manage on-site risk assessments, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with HSE regulations
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical escalations and troubleshooting
- Ensure accurate completion of job documentation, system updates, and compliance reports
Person Specification:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification
- C&G 2391 or 2394/5 (Testing & Inspection)
- C&G 2919 (EV Charge Point Installation) or experience installing EV charge points
- Experience in AC & DC EV charger installations (commercial and domestic)
- Experience in commercial solar PV installations, including inverters and battery storage (preferred but not essential)
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Strong IT skills for reporting and documentation purposes

What We Offer:
- Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
