Job Summary
The Director - Digital Cities will be a highly experienced and results-oriented professional responsible for leading and managing all aspects of digital city development within the NEOM The Line project. This role requires a deep understanding of smart city technologies, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital city strategy for The Line, encompassing all aspects of smart city development.
- Lead and manage a team of digital city specialists, including engineers, technologists, and data scientists.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, urban planners, and technology vendors, to ensure the seamless integration of digital technologies within The Line.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of smart city solutions, including smart infrastructure, smart buildings, smart mobility, and smart governance.
- Develop and implement innovative digital city solutions to address the unique challenges of The Line project.
- Ensure the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of all digital city solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of digital city solutions and make necessary adjustments to optimize their operation.
- Develop and implement policies and guidelines related to the development and deployment of digital city technologies.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in digital city technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of a smart city ecosystem that integrates digital technologies with other urban systems.
- Represent Parsons in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Promote a culture of innovation and digital transformation within the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 25 years of progressive experience in the field of digital cities, smart cities, or related areas.
- Proven experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, including IoT, AI, big data analytics, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with the development and implementation of smart city solutions in real-world environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the creation of smart, livable cities.
