We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our business as we continue to scale.
We are seeking a forward-thinking Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, manage, and optimize our cloud environments in line with evolving business requirements. You will leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies and best-in-class security practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance. This role demands an expert who not only understands modern trends - such as multi-cloud strategies, container orchestration, serverless architectures, and AIOps - but also knows how to adopt them effectively to drive innovation.

You'll Spend Your Time
- Overseeing the design, setup, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources to ensure secure, efficient operations
- Implementing cloud best practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and serverless deployments across Azure and GCP
- Enforcing Zero Trust security principles, including micro-segmentation and continuous threat detection
- Maintaining compliance with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials standards, leveraging advanced tools for real-time visibility
- Conducting regular security assessments and audits to ensure ongoing adherence to industry regulations
- Developing and implementing robust IAM policies for secure user and service access within Azure and GCP
- Continuously auditing and refining permissions to align with least-privilege principles
- Ensuring alignment with certification requirements (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials) for identity management
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy microservices and serverless architectures
- Integrating emerging technologies such as AI/ML services to deliver advanced analytics and automation
- Monitoring resource utilization and optimizing service consumption to maintain cost efficiency
- Leveraging automated scaling and performance tuning across both Azure and GCP to align with budgetary and SLA requirements.
- Implementing DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, IaC) to accelerate delivery and minimize risk
- Utilizing AIOps for proactive issue resolution and intelligent workload orchestration, supporting both Azure and GCP environments
- Establishing and maintaining disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans
- Regularly testing backup strategies to ensure data integrity and rapid recovery capabilities in multi-cloud setups
The Key Experience We're Looking For
- In-depth experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Arc) and GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run)
- Proficiency in Entra AD & Office 365 Configuration, strong knowledge of Microsoft’s modern identity and access solutions, including configuration best practices
- Cross-Platform OS Knowledge and experience administering Windows 10/11, macOS, and Linux environments
- User Support & High-Level Troubleshooting experience and track record of providing first- and second-line support, solving complex technical issues efficiently
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Management and competency in containerization, serverless computing, and setting up secure networking in Azure and GCP environments
- Demonstrable knowledge of ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials frameworks, including the ability to maintain compliance through continuous improvements and audits
The Following Would Be Advantageous
- Cloud & Security Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Architect, Azure Security Engineer, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, CompTIA Security+) demonstrating expertise in cloud and security
- Networking & IAM Security such as familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture, network segmentation, and IAM best practices to protect multi-cloud workloads
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform) for infrastructure automation in Azure and GCP
- Experience with Disaster Recovery & Backup Strategies and proven ability to design and test backup and DR solutions in compliance with business continuity requirements
- Experience with Ticketing & Support Systems and managing 1st- and 2nd-line support through modern ticketing systems and incident management processes
