Our DSO Transition team has a fantastic opportunity for a Flexible Solutions Analyst to join them based in Manchester.
Appointment to this role will be as an 18 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Our role
One of the main challenges of the transition to a low carbon world in the RIIO-ED2 regulatory period and beyond is to develop the systems and processes so that we can actively manage the network and connected customers more flexibly.
This role will undertake the processes for the visibility / signposting, procurement, dispatch and settlement of Flexible Services for the provision of capacity, in the short, medium and long terms.
This role will require an understanding of the elements required to perform the new and extended functions of a DSO with a clear focus on undertaking the processes of signposting, procurement, dispatch and settlement of Flexible Services.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree level qualification, preferably in a numerate subject;
- Proven experience in any of the following areas: engineering, customer service, customer engagement, procurement and regulatory or commercial environment, including code governance;
- An appreciation of the components, equipment and systems of a distribution network and a detailed understanding of how flexibility services can be used as part of operating the network to mitigate the need for network reinforcement;
- An appreciation of the components of the RIIO-ED2 price control and the incentive regimes and how flexibility services can help Electricity North West outperform its regulatory contract;
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and data analytic tools.
