The Business development Manager – EV Charge Point Operator (CPO) will be part of a cutting-edge electronics engineering company looking to drive further penetration into the EV Charger and industrial DC power supplies industries.
You will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in business development, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the EV charging landscape.
You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with existing and new clients, fostering and managing relationships with key stakeholders and driving the growth of our business across our maintenance offering.
Whilst this role will be hybrid, there will be an expectation that regular travel to our office in Knaresborough will be required to align with our company mission and growth targets. Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the EV or Maintenance industry.
- Strategic thinking ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with business goals.
- Proven track record of successfully processing and managing complex tenders.
- The ability to analyse market data, sales performance and business metrics to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, proposal writing and contract negotiation.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and seize opportunities.
- Able to comprehend and articulate technical aspects of products and services offered.
Desirable:
- Level 4 or 5 Qualification in Business, Marketing, Account Management or related field.
- To develop and execute the Company’s strategy to drive sustainable sales growth of EV Charger & related grid infrastructure for identified target markets.
- Provide the strategic direction to the Company on business development issues to enable new and repeat sales, justifying when appropriate where the company could pursue new markets and/or new product developments.
- Work closely with commercial teams to facilitate the preparation of winning bids.
- To lead on contract reviews and tenders.
- Take responsibility for customer account management, directly supporting commercial and technical account queries whilst coordinating with internal departments to seek resolution.
- Develop high level and profitable relationships with existing clients to ensure the Company is well positioned to win further business by identifying new opportunities.
- Assist in the development of sales and marketing literature and associated documentation to improve marketing of the Company and its products.
- Prepare and pitch benefits and value proposition for products and services.
- Provide continuous feedback to product development and commercial teams on competitive intelligence, market and industry trends.
- Represent the company on relevant industry steering groups & exhibitions and present at conferences.
- Salary: £50,000
