Role: Substation Project Engineer

Location: Hybrid with attendance to Client's offices in Scotland
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with probable extension
Rates: £650 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Clearance: BPSS
Full UK Working Rights required
- Key Duties:Creating outline scope, site location plans, primary plant layout and Single Line Diagrams for new build and asset replacement type projects, operating up to 400kV.
- Reviewing contractor/consultants detailed designs and witnessing FAT.
- Implementing safety by design principles to ensure that engineering and safety risks are adequately controlled.
- Support site and operational teams to ensure the quality of installations, with minimal risk to Network security.
- Evaluate tenders and procure and manage specialist services from consultants
- Essential requirementsCandidates must hold a minimum of HND in electrical engineering
- Previous Transmission experience required.
- 3+ Years substation project engineer experience up to 400kV
- Proven experience in HV substation design, operation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in project management
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
