The University of Manchester wish to appoint a Senior Project Support Coordinator to join the National Institute for Health and Care Research Applied Research Collaboration for Greater Manchester (NIHR ARC-GM), based at The University of Manchester. The role will support the programme team in the delivery of key strategic projects, activities and interactions and the delivery of an effective and efficient programme of work for NIHR ARC-GM.
The NIHR ARC-GM is a collaboration between The University of Manchester and the health and care system of Greater Manchester. Our work is directly informed by the needs of both this system and the local population. Our over-arching goal is to improve the health and care of the GM population and the quality and sustainability of the health and social care they receive. We will achieve this by co-producing excellent research in areas prioritised by the system and by enhancing its impact through supported implementation into policy and practice.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience. They will have proven experience of providing high quality project support preferably in a Higher Education environment. Excellent organisational skills are essential with the ability and initiative to manage and prioritise different and conflicting workloads, whilst meeting deadlines without close supervision. A flexible and responsive approach to team needs is required with the capacity to provide information, advice, and guidance. Exceptional communication skills are essential, with experience of dealing with a wide range of people both internal and external to an organisation at all levels.
