What a year its been, with no previous experience I took on the responsibility of EU CBAM (Carbon Boarder Adjustment Mechanism) regulation. EU CBAM is a tool aimed at putting a fair price on carbon emitted during the production of carbon intensive goods. Brought in by the EU government to deal with carbon leakage, to help with their goal of becoming net zero by 2050. It deals with a complex template, that I am now well versed in. It captures all production emissions from a manufacturing site & the emissions of the sites suppliers. I supported & educated my suppliers to produce a report with just 5% default values, this is well above the industry average of just 50%!
