Fuse Energy is growing and looking for a qualified commercial solar engineer to join the technical team as we continue to expand and acquire new solar projects. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with previous experience with Solar PV and able to travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and execute the installation of commercial rooftop solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine optimal system design and installation plans
Install solar panels, inverters, and other related equipment, ensuring all components are correctly and safely mounted and connected
Perform electrical work related to solar PV installations, including wiring, grounding, and interconnection to the grid
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation to ensure optimal system performance
Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely project completion
Maintain detailed and accurate records of installations, including site reports and system documentation
Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring safe working practices at all times

Requirements

City and Guilds 2382 (18th edition) qualification is essential
NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification required
2394/2395 Test and Inspect certification is required
Experience working with an MSC certified installer is essential
Proven experience in the installation of commercial rooftop solar PV systems
Strong understanding of solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Comfortable working at heights and experienced with Mobile Elevated Working Platforms
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
