Solar Designer

- Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (happy to consider candidates on a higher salary)
We are seeking a talented and innovative Design Engineer to join our client dynamic team. This role involves designing and developing state-of-the-art products that meet both functional and aesthetic standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in engineering principles and be proficient in various design software and programming languages.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Create detailed design specifications and documentation for products.
- Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to develop precise 2D and 3D models.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project goals and deadlines.
- Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs, including thermal, electrical, and mechanical evaluations.
- Identify and resolve design issues throughout the product development process.
- Build prototypes and conduct tests to assess performance against specifications.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in design engineering.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with programming languages is a plus.
- Experience with System on Chip (SoC) designs and soldering techniques is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- A proactive problem-solver with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
