Weev are seeking to appoint an Operations Manager for a thriving industry, one that continues to grow exponentially as the attractiveness and government legislation around electric vehicles continues to drive demand for more EVs and EV charging points the across the country. The role will involve the planning and delivery of new EV projects while ensuring the continually reliability of the charging network. You will oversee all business operations which include, procurement, project management, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Success:
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customer escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Gather customer feedback to inform service improvements and innovations.
Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers and support staff.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring team members are well-equipped to meet objectives.
Project Planning:
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
• Onboard new subcontractors and oversee during the construction phase.
Quality Control:
• Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards in service delivery.
• Conduct regular audits and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
• Manage the maintenance of the charging estate in line with the uptime requirements and company KPI’s.
Commercial Management:
• Analyse financial data and operational metrics to drive profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that enhance market presence and customer acquisition.
IT System Management:
• Oversee the management and optimization of IT systems supporting operations and customer service.
• Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and user training for all relevant staff.
General:
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the EV charging domain.
• Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our products and services to customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Prepare reports for the COO on operational performance and expenditure.

Essential Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civils/Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably within the EV or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proven project management experience with strong organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with IT systems and data management practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Construction Skills Register (CSR) Card holder
- A keen awareness and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety, and quality. Knowledge of electrical installation and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring practices, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and provide guidance.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment to achieve results.
- Flexible to adapt to company needs when required.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualification in Electrical, Civil Engineering.
- Masters Degree in Business Administration, Civils/Construction or Engineering.
- Nebosh general certification.
