Business Development Executive - Commercial Solar PV. Salary £27,000 + bonus/ commission scheme, Poole, UK
The Company And The Opportunity
The UK’s leading designer and installer of commercial scale solar systems is looking for a business development enthusiast.
This is a great opportunity for a bright graduate with some experience in business development / sales roles, preferably in solar energy or other engineering type discipline.
You’ll be working with a very well-established engineering company, a market leader in commercial scale solar projects. You will be part of the new build housing team.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a passion for renewable energy (or Net Zero) and an outgoing friendly professional approach.
You have a proven track record of B2B sales of technical products - ideally solar PV systems (or similar) to commercial clients, possibly including, retrofit, new build, social housing.
You are confident in prospecting for business, initiating contact, undertaking client meetings, conducting preliminary site surveys, and articulating the commercials around the project.
Essential Skills And Requirements
- Proven track record in sales
- Technical empathy - able to articulate the proposition. Highly numerate candidates are preferred but engineering background is also very helpful
- Commercially savvy and able to understand and explain the financial benefits and negotiate contracts
- Ability to generate leads independently and to follow these through to closure
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Eligible to work in the UK
Remuneration
Base salary £27,000 plus bonus / commission scheme
