The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe, smooth, and proper running of machinery, plant and equipment, prevent, diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues while ensuring a culture of Safety First in an industrial environment.
Primarily centred around Waste Management, this business is expanding rapidly in the fields of Resource Recovery and Circular Economy, ensuring nothing truly goes to waste. They are leading key UK and Ireland sustainability projects as they look to recycle more materials ranging from Metals, Plastics and Oil through to Hazardous Waste and identifying ways to utilise these to create clean energy and fully recycled products.
Role Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety, ensuring culture of Safety First across the sites and adhering to safety, environmental and quality standards and regulations working closely with the HSE officer.
- Perform reactive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance levels and ensure the safe, smooth, and proper running of machinery, plant and equipment.
- Mechanically biased role with some electrical work involved.
- Replace bearings, inspect compressors, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding tasks
What We Are Looking For?
- Health and Safety knowledge and awareness/mindset.
- Level 3 qualification with Mechanical bias and ideally some electrical experience, or relevant qualification or equivalent experience
- Confident mechanical experience, preferably in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and general plant machinery
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
